There are two requirements to view these animations:

Disclaimer:We display these animations as a learning resource for students, to show the wide application of the use of antibodies in a clinical biochemistry laboratory. These animations are our own graphical representations of the immunoassay methodology used by a number of commercial manufacturers. The inclusion of an assay method here does not imply that this method is in use in the Clinical Biochemistry department at the Royal Infirmary, Glasgow, nor does it imply that its use is recommended.

Button ACTH (Nichols Institute Diagnostic). An immunoradiometric assay (IRMA) in a test tube format.
Button Bone­specific Alkaline Phosphatase (ALKPHASE­BTM, Metra Biosystems, Inc.). A simple enzyme-linked immunoassay in a microtitre plate format.
Button Cortisol (Bayer Corporation). A heterogenous competitive magnetic separation assay (MSA) for the Technicon Immuno 1® System.
Button Deoxypyridinoline (PYRILINKSTM­D, Metra Biosystems, Inc.). A sandwich enzyme immunoassay in a microtitre plate format
Button Osteocalcin (NovoCalcinTM, Metra Biosystems, Inc.). A competitive enzyme immunoassay in a microtitre plate format.
Button Prolactin (Bayer Corporation). A heterogenous sandwich magnetic separation assay (MSA) for the Technicon Immuno 1® System.
Button Thyroxine (Bayer Corporation). A homogeneous latex agglutination assay for the Technicon Immuno 1® System.
